Our Community Impact

Centro offers the Head Start program in Centerfield and Mount Pleasant, and  the Migrant, Seasonal and Early Head Start Program in Providence, Honeyville and Genola. It  provides a variety of programs at those centers, as well as in various sites in Salt Lake county.

Awards and Recognitions

Gonzalo Palza, Centro de la Familia de Utah's CEO, received the Minority Small Business Champion of the Year award from the Utah District Small Business Administration in 2011.

Utah Hispanic Business Leadership Foundation, dba Somos, recognized Centro de la Familia de Utah with the Educational Agency of the Year award.

Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Utah recognized Centro de la Familia as providing excellence in service to the Spanish-speaking community.

Planned Parenthood of Utah "Just Say Know" Award.

 Select Health recognized our Family Services Specialists in the Mt. Pleasant Head Start Program with the Select Med Community Health Award.

 Montessori Certification for our Migrant Head Start programs, the first nationwide.

 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints recognized eight selected Centro staff members on behalf of Centro's superior service to the community on April 30, 2008.
